Trekking at Khao Ra (Phangan Viewpoint)

Your best bet for seeing the authentic Koh Phangan away from the resorts is to go trekking! A trekking trip up Khao Ra – the island’s highest point above sea level – takes you through unspoiled rainforest of Phangan Island.
Head to Ban Madua Wan village north of Thongsala and pick up a trekking guide at the Phaeng Waterfall National Park. This will run you about 11 Euros, but is worth it to successfully trek your way up Khao Ra!
Take a swim suit to enjoy the rocky pools along the way, and cool off during the more than 600 meter above sea level climb to the breathtaking vista from Khao Ra.
